Story

The Baladin Family

When in 1986 Teo Musso founded Le Baladin Pub in Piozzo (Italy), guided by his emotions and by his passion for beer, little did the world know that through his recipes and love for beautiful things he would end up giving birth to a brewery and a big family, united by the philosophy of a company that more than 35 years later still strives for excellence, innovation and taste.

For Nicole Pavlin it was love at first sip. With the vision to create a place that could fully express the Baladin culture and taste, in 2008 Nicole successfully opened Riad Baladin Hotel in Essaouira (Morocco), and in 2018 she launched together with her husband Rachid Baladin Zanzibar Beach Hotel in Zanzibar (Tanzania).

About

The Brewery

The brewery saw its first days right there, in a little corner of Le Baladin Pub, in Piozzo. It matured in Teo’s parents chicken coop, and like any child that naturally grows it soon needed its own space, and was moved to a wider facility at The Baladin Open Garden, where craftsmen worked to build a cutting-edge brewery specifically designed to create craft beers that don’t need to be pasteurized nor filtered.

In our brewery every fermentation is made with the mother yeast cell, and all the beers are created using raw materials produced or farmed by us, with no chemicals, no colorings, and no preservatives.
